Though industrial lubrication applications have so many types and combinations we only mention the most popular and important ones.

In the Industry from 90’s got dispersed the most modern and economical system called progressive lubrication system, even in automated greasing or oiling. So physical dimensions of machines are getting more and more smaller, construction more precise, so less lubricant and less lubrication capacity is needed.


The heavy industry (cement or steel) still requires much lubricant using extended dual line lubrication systems.

The automotive and light industry, sometimes the food industry increasingly used MQL (minimal quantity lubrication) systems besides progressive greasing.

We collect the most important information of these systems below, try to explain advantages and refer some practical advices:

 

 


MQL minimal quantity lubrication
Essence of MQL is the near-dry lubrication. So the supplied amount of lubricant is only the less enough for the friction-reducing or cooling, lubricant
MQL minimal quantity lubricationonly present as film on surface not drops or flow. Morely lubricant is supplied by compressed air where the cooling feature of lubrication is coming from the air, the lubricant is only like spray. These systems requires high quality lubricants.

Single line lubrication systems
From pump only one main line of tubing supplies the lubricant towards the lubepoints. The dosing elements of the systems is like “swallows-on-the-wire” sit on the mainline and doses the lubricant in exact quantity to the several lubepoints. Very popular is the low-cost restrictor systems where the

Progressive lubrication systems
From name progressive systems are extended from pump to lubepoints dividing the supplied lubricant to more line from one like root of a tree. The supplied grease or oil “from above” is divided to more (2-20) subline where also can be fitted more dividers for feeding more lubrication points.
Progressive lubrication systems Progressive systems mainly used for 60-80 points generally with high pressure lubrication pumps. Dividers could be fix outputs (the dosing is the same amount on outlets) or can be adjusted and controlled (outlet pairs can be selected and changed). The high pressure piston pumps has own reservoir and some has integrated control panel too. The compact pump version are 12/24VDC, the industrial versions are 230/400VAC voltage but there are pneumatic or hydraulic driven pump too. Size of reservoir also wide range from 2 kg upto 100 kg. Control of progressive systems is easy and economical the operation is very safe.

-    In every field from mobile to the heaviest industrial conditions

Multi line systems
These system are not really used for modern applications mainly used in rubber industry, or cement.  Progressive systems or oil-circulating systems change this while economical reasons. Ask for more...

Dual line or 2-line system
Heavy industry where conditions and distances are very extreme, the big bearing requires much much grease and the number of lubrication point are over than 100 used the Dual line greasing systems. These systems were invented first as automatic lubrication system. From pump there are two main
Dual line or 2-line system line supplying lubricant towards the very large system even with 1000-1200 lubepoints. The robust installation and high material costs reduces this application changing user for progressive systems.

Chain lubrication
Chain lubrication is now a special field of lubrication technologies. As many various type of chains exists so many type of technology is present of lubrication. One side important the technology of getting the lubricant onto the chain, the other side is distribution and supply of the lubricant.
Chain lubrication

We apply magnet-, pneumatic- electrical- and MQL pumps, progressive, single line or mist systems, in the chain side there are brushes, dropping or spraying technologies for lubricate in high quality.
As designing chain lubrication systems is mostly individual, it is very hard to characterise this generally.
Lubricant spraying system
Sometimes there is no possibility to take lubricant on the surface where it should work (dropping, flow inside, etc.). In this case use we sc. Spraying systems where lubricant is sprayed from longer distance to the surface to be lubricated. In some case il is “splitted”, or grease is sprayed from 20-60 centimeters distance. These applications are dispersed in metal processing, or open-gear lubrication (Cement plants).
